The optimum requirement of the carbohydrate and fat in the human body for a balanced diet is 50 to 60 % of calories intake. Most Pakistani diets intake excessive carbohydrates intake. Carbohydrate reserves in an adult are 50 grams. When a man is fasting his reserve is rapidly exhausted. There are three types of carbohydrates starches sugar and cellulose. All sugar and starches are converted into glucose by digestive enzymes before they are the access of glucose are converted in glycogen and stored in the liver and muscles
